WOW! What a campground! I’ve been spending summers here for the past 10 years. I’m from Florida, and really enjoy the change-of-pace this Campground has to offer. The “rural” atmosphere with its chickens, goats, horses, rabbits, lots of shade trees, great tenting on the creek, family owned and operated, and they make you feel at home! Only 10 minutes from Franklin (Lowes, Engle’s, and Walmart). A Fourty Five minute drive will put you in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park and Cherokee Indian Country. I’ll be back next year!

All I can say I Wow!

We just finished tent camping on the creek. Wish we could stay longer. Loved the campground, scenery, animals, bathhouse immaculate. Owners, Dan and Vivian, helpful and informative. Would highly recommend it. Peace and quiet was refreshing. We will be back.

Cartoogechaye Creek Campground has become a tradition for our family! We honeymooned there, and have returned with our children both times we vacationed in North Carolina. I have known the owners for many, many years and they are wonderful people who are always ready to help you with even the smallest requests!

The Campground is kept neat and tidy, with plenty of open space for walking, playing and just enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We have stayed in the Park Model and the Travel Trailer. The park model is great for a family with a couple of little ones, especially because you have your own bathroom, kitchen and living space.

There are chicken, goats, dogs and horses on the property which the owners are happy to show you. There is a long dirt road around the property which is nice for walking, especially during the evening.

The town of Franklin is nearby with restaurants, stores and some entertainment. We enjoy visiting some of the surrounding towns which are also very quaint. And don't miss going white water rafting while you're up there!

Hospitality at its best! We have been Full Time Rvers for the last 10 years. During those years we have camped at Cartoogechaye Creek Campground many times and have enjoyed all our stays. Nice quiet friendly atmosphere! Enjoy your stay just as we do.
